

LIAA Tree Conference – A Huge Success!
On Saturday, February 10, the Long Island Arboricultural Association(LIAA) held their 35thAnnual Tree Conference at Farmingdale State College.
The conference began with welcoming remarks by LIAA President Matt Daly and Dr. Hubert Keen, President of Farmingdale State College.
Matt presented the annual scholarship, along with Dr. Gary Brown, to Win Knowlton, a horticulture student at Farmingdale. Honorary lifetime members, Larry Borger, Jim Jordan, Jon Hickey and Larry Ferrandiz were recognized in the audience.
Greg Frank, President of New York State Arborists and Gary Carbocci representing Greenpoint also made remarks about their organizations. The well received speakers and lectures throughout the day were as follows:

The conference ended with great raffle prizes donated by our generous vendors. The conference was a huge success. The LIAA would like to thank all those who attended and supported this annual conference.
